Confidence and Self Esteem
Once your ‘self-belief’ in a particular area is formed, you always act in a manner consistent with it. You may have an extraordinary ability in a particular area, but if your self-belief is poor in that area, you will always perform below your true potential.
Whatever your self-belief, your habit of thinking very soon becomes your “comfort zone.” Once you get into a comfort zone in any area you will unconsciously remain in that zone, even though it may be vastly below what you are truly capable of achieving.
The key to achieving your full potential in every part of your life is for you to raise your self-belief in that area. Develop new habits of thinking about what is possible for you. By changing your thoughts and feelings on the inside you change what you accomplish on the outside.
Self-esteem is affected by many factors. One of the most important is the distance between your self-image, the way you see yourself in the moment, and your self-ideal, the way you would ideally like to be sometime in the future.
